Sabine de Potter is one of our newest Glocal Volunteers. We’re so grateful for her enthusiasm and passion as she co-leads our new walking group - FOCUS.
Sabine has always been interested in personal development and the ‘Fine Art of Living’, as she likes to call it. Her purpose in life has come to be to uncover the mystery and to inspire others to do the same – by finding their own answers, albeit with her compassionate guidance.
Everything in life can be regarded as an invitation to learn our life’s lessons, and sometimes misfortune turns out to have been a blessing in disguise. One of the most significant examples of this phenomenon is how she discovered the treasure of Mindfulness.
Sabine’s husband suffered a burnout, and on his quest for recovery, he brought home a book by Jon Kabat-Zinn with the compelling title: Full Catastrophe Living. It included a CD with mindfulness exercises and the two of them started reading and practicing together and he started to recover.
In the meantime, she noticed how through mindfulness, the quality of her life was improving in all aspects. Moreover, to her, it meant resolving a big part of the above-mentioned mystery.
This discovery was oil on the fire of her passion to help people lead more healthy, happy and fulfilling lives – to live ‘lighter’. This resulted in the founding of her business Rainbow Mind.
Rainbow Mind is a coaching and training company devoted to helping people reduce stress and improve integral health – body, mind and soul – by offering mindfulness-based interventions. For individuals, groups and organizations. Live and online.
As the scenery for her work, she prefers nature, abundant here in Central Switzerland. Walking and talking go hand in hand and nature naturally invites us to use all of our senses, and eventually come to our senses. This is one of the reasons Sabine will be perfect to co-lead our Mind Walk group.
In addition to her services (MBSR Courses, Individual Coaching, Rainbow Workshops, Rainbow Walks, Mindful Eating and Refresh-programs) it is her mission to make mindfulness more mainstream in Switzerland and beyond.
